Obtain Test Results

Results are received by the requesting clinician. The clinician will make contact with you (directly or via the Patient Co-ordinators) via phone, text or letter if they think the results need further discussion.

By using NHS app you will be able to view your results.  If you are an Airmid or SystmOnline user you can also view your results via these services.

Results are usually visible within a week of the test, but some tests will take longer to come back.

You may also receive results via the hospital trust’s Patients Know Best service, however please be aware that if your tests are requested by a team at the hospital they are not always sent on to the GP surgery (even if the blood test is performed at the surgery using a hospital-provided form). Queries about results from these tests are best directed to your hospital team rather than the GP surgery.
