Childhood Immunisations

Important Information on Childhood Immunisations

Ensuring your child receives their routine immunisations is crucial for protecting them against various infectious diseases. The NHS childhood immunisation schedule is designed to provide the best possible protection at the right time.

Key Points:

  • Immunisations help protect your child from serious diseases such as measles, mumps, rubella, and more.
  • The schedule includes vaccines at different stages, starting from 8 weeks old.
  • Recent updates include an additional dose of the Hib-containing multivalent vaccine and changes to the MMR vaccine schedule.

We are pleased to offer an immunisation clinic every Thursday, staffed by two experienced nurses to ensure a smooth and efficient appointment. Parents and guardians whose child is due for their 1-year or pre-school (3 years 4 months) immunisations will receive a text message with a booking link, allowing you to choose a time that suits you best.

We encourage you to keep track of your child's immunisation appointments and ensure they are up to date. If you have any questions or need to schedule an appointment, please contact our practice.
