West Meads Surgery (location map) was founded in 2000 to serve north-western Bognor Regis including the West Meads estate, Rose Green, North Bersted and Aldwick in addition to central Bognor Regis). We offer a Personal Medical Service to all our patients. Additionally, we have specialist clinics including minor surgery, diabetes and asthma. Health visitors, midwives and counsellors all run clinics here as well.
We are able to register new patients on our list at the moment. You can either visit the surgery with two forms of ID or you can now pre-register on-line
The surgery is designed to allow wheelchair access. There are also disabled toilet facilities. If you are a career and look after a relative or friend please let us know when you register with us. We may be able to support you and give you advice.
We publish a practice leaflet that explains some more about West Meads Surgery and our philosophy.
Register with the Surgery
We provide medical care to patients within the areas of West Meads, North Bersted, Aldwick, Rose Green and central Bognor Regis. If you are unsure whether you are in our catchment area please ask our reception staff.
If you are living here temporarily, studying at university, visiting friends or on holiday here then you can register with us as a Temporary Resident. This entitles you to free local healthcare without transferring your records from your usual NHS GP. Contact our reception staff to arrange this.
If you have moved here from another area then you will need to register with us. We will then arrange for the transfer of all your old records from your previous GP.
If you wish to change from your current GP and transfer your care to West Meads, all you need to do is register with us and we will do the rest.
You will need to visit the surgery to fill out a registration form and provide some basic health information. Please bring with you:
- Proof of your current address (e.g. utility bill, bank statement)
- Photographic proof of identity (e.g. passport, photo driving license)
- Name and address of your last GP practice
- NHS Number (if you are unsure of this ask your last GP practice)
- Postcode of your previous address
- And don’t forget a list of any medicines that you take regularly (and anything you are allergic to!)
We will then arrange the transfer of all your records. This can take a few days or sometimes weeks.
